Ralph E. Beavers, 90, Scircleville, went home to be with the Lord at 12:36 a.m. March 17, 2011, from Indiana Veterans Home.
Mr. Beavers graduated from Frankfort High School in 1941 and served in the Coast Guard 1942-1945. He worked in set-up at Malloryâs for 31 years.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW, former member of the American Legion and attended Union Baptist Church. Ralph received Jesus Christ as his personal savior on Oct. 31, 2010.
He was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Charleston, Ill., to Mahlon and Genola
(Oliver) Beavers. He married Freda Wickham on Sept. 2, 1942, and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Patty (husband Jerry) Morris; two
sisters, Helen (husband Tom) Hensley of Gas City and Wanda (husband Bill) Miller of Frankfort; two grandchildren, Jason (wife Pam) Morris and Stacey (husband Kevin) Disinger; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Mikaela.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Genda Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Brittain officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Green Lawn
Cemetery. Calling is 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
