Raymond Clark Grubbs

Raymond Clark Grubbs, 74, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at home surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born September 24, 1945, in Harlan, Kentucky to Thurman and Opal Lee (Walters) Grubbs.  He married Pauletta Cottrell on March 17, 1991; she survives.

Raymond had a passion for life with his wife, Pauletta.  Together they enjoyed the outdoors, playing music, collecting coins, talking about the Lord, and spending time with family. Raymond graduated from Hall County High School.  He was employed for 12 years at Peter Paul, Exide Battery for 15 years, Frito Lay for 4 years, and was a coal miner and carpenter.  He was a member of Souls Harbor Missionary Baptist Church. 

Along with his wife, Raymond is survived by his children; Wendy (Wesley) Dotson,  Thomas (Dawn) Grubbs,  Lisa (Fred) Lyle, Tina Barkley,  Dan (Clarissa) Wessel, Sweilla Grubbs, Michael (Brittany) Grubbs, Matthew Fee, and James (Amber) Barkley; sisters, Wanda (Ralph) Johnson, Kathy (Bill) Grubbs, and Doris Hensel; brother, Wayne Grubbs; grandchildren, Adam, Josh, Ben, Allen, Sean, Jackson, Taiyia, Rylee, Brycen, Chole, Tori, Baylee, & Kali; and great-grandchildren, Ridge and Analeyah.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; son, Casey Smith; grandson, Alex Dotson; brothers, Ronald Grubbs, Donald Grubbs, and Carl Grubbs; sisters, Brenda Grubbs, Geneva Grubbs, and Mary Frances Grubbs. 

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Bunnell Cemetery.  Pastor Tom Lunsford will officiate.  Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is entrusted with arrangements.
