Richard Charles Schubert, 75, of Frankfort, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville.
He was born November 2, 1942 in Stockbridge, MI to the late Richard Lewis and Betty Elaine (Ruggles) Schubert.
Richard served in the United States Air Force. He worked several jobs including Burkett Construction in Texas and was a truck driver for LandSpan Trucking. He was a past member of the Eagles Lodge, and enjoyed participating in activities at the Paul Phillippe Resource Center. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and bingo, and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving Richard are his sons, Robert Allen (Lyn) Friend of NC, James Melvin Friend of TX, Donald (Sue) Holland of MO, John Charles Schubert of TX; daughters, Kristina Leah (Randy) Kite of Frankfort, Deanna Lynne Schubert of TX; brother, Ron (Jane) Schubert of MI; sisters, Betty Hall of MI and Barb (Dave) Brown of TN, sixteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his life-long companion and best friend, Shirley Marlene Cowan, a grandchild and a great grandchild.
Memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 12pm until the start of the service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Colfax.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Phillippe Resource Center.
