Richard E. Weaver, 87, of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Clinton House.
He was born May 2, 1927, in Frankfort, the son of Basil V. and Halcie E. Evans Weaver. On December 21, 1950, Richard married Doris Pugh; she survives.
Richard graduated from Frankfort Senior High School. He then served in the United States Navy during World War II and later in the United States Army during the Korean War. After 42 years, he retired as an engineer from Nickel Plate Railroad. Richard was a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by one son, Richard T. (Robin) Weaver of Indianapolis; one daughter, Barbara J. Lemen of Frankfort; and one grandson, Jason Morrow.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 12:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ed Pearson will officiate.
