Richard Lee McCollum

Richard Lee “Rick” McCollum, 57, of Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at his home.

He was born March 17, 1957, in Frankfort, to Duane and Sandra Martin McCollum; his father and step-mother, Ann, survive.  On September 4, 1988, he married Darlene Harrison; she survives.

Rick worked at Crellin for 20 years, at Emerson for 17 years, and as a supervisor at Tech Group for two years.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, playing guitar and grilling out with his family.

He is also survived by one son, Dustin (Susan) McCollum; two daughters, Tracy (Tyrone) Dillon and Meagan (Evan) Hazlett; one sister, Jackie Ginter; two brothers, Todd (Mindy) McCollum and Scott (Debbie) McCollum; seven grandchildren, Kalli McCollum, Tyler Dillon, Tevin Dillon, Taleigha Dillon, Ethan Hazlett, Colin Hazlett, and Isabelle Hazlett; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his mother, Rick is preceded in death by one brother, Tab McCollum.

Visitation for Rick will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 10:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.  Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Rick’s name may be made to Community Cancer Network.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
