Rita L. Lewis

Rita L. Lewis, 72, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at her home.  She was born January 23, 1947, in Kokomo, to Royce H. and Donna L. (Rex) Cleveland.  On October 30, 1994, she married David Lewis; he survives.

After attending Darlington High School, Rita had worked at Menards and Heilig Myers and sold Home Interiors for many years.  She was a member of Eagle Harvest Ministries and enjoyed painting and making ceramics.

In addition to her husband, Rita is survived by her children, Todd Neal (Jody) Hartman, of Virginia, Rex Kevin (Kathy) Brown, of Oklahoma, and Heather Lynn (James) McDaniel, Shonna Renee (Rob) Davison, and Angela Lorrain Collins, all of Frankfort; sister, Janice Endicott, of New Market; 21 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren with one on the way.  Rita is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sharon Bennett, and grandson, Kevin Brown.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  A graveside service to honor Rita will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Green Lawn Cemetery with Chaplain Ken Rushing officiating.  Memorials in Rita’s name may be made to Clinton County Cancer.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
