Robert Eric Yoder

Robert Eric Yoder, 54, of Cutler, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 20, 2016.

He was born March 12, 1962, in Frankfort, to Bill and Linda Jenkins Yoder; his mother survives.  In August, 1984, he married Laura Spesard; she survives.

Eric graduated from Rossville High School in 1980, received his bachelor degree from Purdue University in 1985, and achieved his master’s degree in engineering from the University of New Mexico.  He worked as a senior software engineer for SMC Corp. in Noblesville where he wrote software for automation systems.  Eric enjoyed the outdoors especially his trees and walking in the woods, gardening, and spending time with his children and granddaughters.  

In addition to his wife and mother, Eric is survived by his children, Jared (Amanda) Yoder of Frankfort, Brooke Yoder of Omaha, NE, and Drew Yoder of Bringhurst; brothers, Brian (Jo) Yoder and Steven Yoder; sister, Pam (John) Shideler; and granddaughters, Laina, Eleanor, and Eliza.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 3:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m.  John Westfall will officiate.  Inurnment will be held at Ball Hill Cemetery in Cutler at a later date.  Memorials in Eric’s name may be made to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office or Carroll County K-9 Fund.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
