Robert K. Albaugh, 84, of Kokomo, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo.
He was born January 4, 1929, in Flora, the son of Chalmer âChadâ and Nellie Boone Albaugh.
Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a self employed truck driver. Robert was a member of Flora United Methodist Church, the Kokomo American Legion, and the 1946 State Basketball Team. He was a former member of the Flora Masonic Lodge. Robert enjoyed fishing and traveling to all lower 48 states and providences in Canada in his truck.
Surviving Robert are one son, Robert K. Albaugh II; step son, Glen Brown; sister, Peg (Tic) Clark; brother, Jerry Albaugh; nieces and nephews, Jane (Gary) Woods, David (Tina) Albaugh, Steve (Ilene) Albaugh, Vanessa (Bob) McKinney, and Susan (Mark) McCarty; step grandchildren, Rick Brown, Chelena Brown, and Shanda Miller.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Robert will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Landon officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
