Robert F. âBobâ Kingery, 83, of Rossville, died Monday, Jan. 23, at St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette.
He was born Nov. 13, 1928 in Kirklin, to Franklin and Mary (Lipp) Kingery. He married Loreta âRitaâ Thomas Sept. 22, 1950. She survives.
Mr. Kingery graduated from Michigantown High School in 1946, he enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing at an early age. A lifelong farmer, he retired in December 29, 1990, but continued to do some farming until 2003. He was a life-long Clinton County resident. He lived at 2117 E. County Rd. 550 N. before moving to Rossville in 2003. He was a member of Hopewell Church where he served on the board and as Sunday School Superintendent.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter: Lori North of Frankfort; four sons: Randy (DeeDee) Kingery of Frankfort, Darrell (Sheila) Kingery of Sellersburg, Kevin (Terry) Kingery of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Larry Kingery of Texas; one sister: Elizabeth (Harold) Cohee of Frankfort; one sister-in-law: Joan Kingery of Tucson, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: infant Barbara, Kathryn and Frances; and one brother: Richard.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at Genda Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Green Lawn Mausoleum.
