Robert "Bob" L. Butts

Bob Butts, 88, of Frankfort, passed away at Wesley Manor on Thursday, June 18, 2020.  He was born in Michigantown on September 3, 1931 to Willard and Frona (Sheets) Butts.  He married Wilmalee Dunn on March 25, 1951.  She passed away on August 14, 1997.

Bob was a 1950 graduate of Michigantown High School. After school, he served in the US Army, for two years, with the 5th Armored Division – 1st Cavalry. He was a member of the Michigantown United Methodist Church, farmed for over 50 years, and enjoyed horses and antique tractors.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Kathyrn (Jack) Barrett and Rhonda (Danny) Edwards; grandchildren, Blaine (Lori) Barrett and Kaleb (Mallory) Barrett; great grandchildren, Avree, Aidan, Anson and Amrin Barrett; special friend, Lou Ann Mitchell; two nieces, four nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Oretha Cloud.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 with a live stream of the service beginning at 11am on the funeral home website.  Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
