Roberta Jean Calloway

Roberta Jean Calloway, 79, of Mulberry, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at her home.

She was born October 29, 1935, in Mulberry, the daughter of Floyd U. Record and Ester Fickle Record (Robert Lee) Brown.  On November 19, 1954, she married Max Wayne Calloway in Rossville; he survives.

In 1953, Bert graduated from Mulberry High School.  Bert retired from Purdue University.

In addition to her husband, Bert is survived by her children, Michael Wayne (Darla) Calloway of Lafayette, Angela Sue (Andrew) Schilling of Mulberry, and Lori Ann Calloway of Fishers; sister, Emma Dean Record-Parker of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Kristen Smith of Lafayette, Coriden Schilling, Drew Schilling, and Clairebelle Schilling, all of Mulberry; and two great grandchildren, Peyton Smith and Parker Smith.

In addition to her father, mother, and step-father, Bert is preceded in death by her step-siblings, Adea “Bud” Brown, Alice Stout-Brown, Julie Alexander-Brown, Nettie Dickie-Brown, and Anna Mae Jobe-Brown.

Visitation will be held at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel on Friday, March 13, 2015, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Memorials in Bert’s name may be made to Clinton County Cancer.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
