Robin Ann Padgett, 53, of Westfield, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2017, while on her honeymoon in Negril, Jamaica.
She was born on November 11, 1963, in Frankfort, to Thomas B. and Nancy Price Padgett; her mother survives in Frankfort. On June 24, 2017, Robin married Louann Lowring at Morse Reservoir in Noblesville; she survives.
In 1982, Robin graduated from Clinton Central High School where she was active in sports and held several records. Robin received her bachelor of science in physical education from IUPUI in 1989. Using her degree, she started as an athletic trainer at Frankfort Senior High School. She later worked as a correction officer at the Clinton County Jail and was currently a service technician for Ricoh at IUPUI for over 15 years. Robin was also a volunteer EMT for the Kirklin Fire Department.
Robin was a member of Kirklin Christian Church; for many years, she attended LifeJourney Church in Indianapolis where she was very active for many years. She sang in the choir and played clarinet in the worship band. Her musical talent extended to deejaying and the nose flute. Robin shared her enormous sense of humor with everyone, posting daily to spread laughter and bring joy to those around her. Her big heart brought happiness to those around her; Robin would give the shirt off of her back or find someone else who could. Robin was a true romantic and very loving. Her family meant the world to her.
In addition to her wife and mother, Robin is survived by her brothers, Thomas Byron (Jody) Padgett, of Kirklin, and Brooks Ward (Irma) Padgett, of Brownsburg; nephews, Logan Robert Padgett and Dylan Thomas Padgett; and her aunt, Jane Padgett, of Logansport; and cousins, Cindy Padgett, of Noblesville, and Deb (Dan) Boocher, of West Lafayette.
Robin is preceded in death by her father, brother, Scott; uncle, Max; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 4:00 â 8:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor Vivian Ampy officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
