Rodger D. Duncan, 64, of Cutler, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo.
He was born July 4, 1948, in Marion, the son of Dale E. and Bessimae Duncan. On July 4, 1967, he married the former Linda Lamb; she preceded him in death.
Rodger graduated from the police academy in 1977 and served on the Flora Police Department from 1977 until his retirement in 1982. Rodger was a charter member of Valley View Baptist Church. He enjoyed racing, restoring cars, watching the Florida Gators, listening to country music, woodworking, and painting.
Surviving Rodger are one granddaughter, Amanda Duncan at home; one brother, Dan (Terri) Duncan of Lafayette; one sister, Treva (Mike) Shell of Bringhurst; and close friend, Doris Moore of Wabash.
In addition to his wife, Rodger was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Tammy Duncan.
A memorial visitation will be held in Rodgerâs memory on Monday, June 10, 2013, at Valley View Baptist Church in Flora from 4:00 â 6:00 p.m. Memorials in Rodgerâs name may be made to the family to assist with expenses. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
