Roger D. Linscott

Roger D. Linscott, 62, a life-long Frankfort resident, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born May 19, 1953, in Jackson County, to the late Emogene Linscott Spears.  On September 15, 1973, he married Judy Brown; she survives.

Roger attended Frankfort High School and then served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a union roofer for Hinshaw Roofing before retiring.  Roger enjoyed restoring classic cars and spending time with his sons and grandchildren including his dogs.

In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his sons, Bruce Linscott, Brent Linscott, Brett Capps, and Bart Capps; sisters, Belinda Davis and Pat Linscott; brother, Paul Spears; and four grandchildren, Sadie Linscott, Brennon Linscott, Katelyn Capps, and Brody Capps.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort, with military graveside honors.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
