Ronald Eugene Gaylor, 80, of Rossville, passed away December 27, 2014 at 4:20 p.m. at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Gaylor was born on July 14, 1934, in Rossville to Glen H. and Beatrice E. Cope Gaylor. On April 9, 1955, he married Janet Allen; she survives.
Ronald graduated from Rossville High School in 1953. In 1999 after 44 years, Ronald retired from Globe Valve Corporation. Throughout his life, he also worked at the Coca-Cola Plant in Frankfort, and was a custodian at Dayton Elementary School. He was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church and former member of the Rossville Masonic Lodge where he was Past Master.
Ronald was devoted to his family; he enjoyed camping, bowling, wood working, and lawn care. He greatly enjoyed his county rides with Missy to look for cow cows.
In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by his sons, Jerry (wife Terri) Gaylor of Rossville, and Ronnie Gaylor of Plainfield; his daughters, Jeanie (husband Don) Phebus and Vicky Smith, both of Mulberry; brothers, Merrill (wife Pat) Gaylor of Rossville, and S. Dean (wife Theresa) Gaylor of New Richmond; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rossville Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the celebration of life service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev.
