Dr. Ron D. Wilson, DC, L.Ac, age 74, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his residence. He was born August 4, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee to George Alexander “JR” and Florence Nellie (Baldwin) Wilson, Jr. He married Glenis Lavern Watson on December 20, 1969 and she survives.
Ron was a graduate of Dowagiac High School in Michigan. After high school, he worked in real estate and construction before moving to Kansas City, Missouri where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Missouri Kansas City. He got his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri. He went on to practice as a Chiropractor at Clinton County Chiropractic Center in Frankfort until his retirement in 2024. Along the way, Ron also became licensed in acupuncture from National University of Health Sciences.
Ron attended Assembly of God Church in Lafayette. He was a 2nd degree black belt in karate. He enjoyed reading, watching western movies, hunting and cooking, where he was not afraid to explore new recipes. But the things that were most important in his life were his faith in Jesus, the love for his family and his dog, Duchess. He was an amazing husband and father and a great protector of his family and cheerleader for his children. He loved being a grandfather and spoiling his grandchildren.
Along with his wife of 55 years, Ron is survived by his children, Sheila (Brad Banfill) Wilson, Jenn (Dan) Titak, Amanda (Jason) Kallner, Rhonda (Christopher) Goul; and six grandchildren, Paige Titak, Tanner Titak, Grayson Goul, Ryder Goul, Abigail Kallner, Taggart Goul.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas Eugene Wilson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery.
