Rosella Whitlock

Rosella Whitlock, 74, of Mulberry, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014, at her home.

She was born June 2, 1940, in Green County, Kentucky, to Clarence and Mattie Irvine Morgan.  On April 15, 1957, she married Gene Whitlock; he survives.

Rosella worked at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community for 20 years before retiring.  She was a homemaker throughout her life.  Rosella enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, shopping, and antiquing.

In addition to her husband, Rosella is survived by one son, Randy (Dena) Whitlock of Mulberry; two daughters, Carolyn (Darrell) Yuill of Mulberry, and Janie (Vincent) Johnson of Lake Station; two sisters, Bonnie (Wayne) Smith of Tompkinsville, KY, and Pauline Elmore of Edmonton, KY; 12 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

Rosella is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Ernistine Young; and three brothers, Cova Morgan, Udell Morgan, and Veachel Morgan.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at the funeral home.  Pastor Ross Terry will officiate.  Burial will follow in Wyandotte Cemetery in Dayton.  Memorials in Rosella's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
