Rosemary Branstetter, 89, formerly of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Good Shepard Lutheran Home in Blair, Nebraska. She was born September 13, 1927 in Frankfort to Paul Clayton and Ida Dovie (Meeks) Smith.
Rosemary was employed by Frankfort National Cigar for over 56 years. She was a lifelong Frankfort resident, just moving to Blair to be with her daughter and son-in-law in 2011. She enjoyed collecting buttons and was known affectionately by friends and family as âthe button lady.â
Surviving family includes daughter, Barbara Jean (Buddy) Fausett of Blair, NE; step-daughter, Patty (Mike) Bragg of Russiaville; step-son, Bob (Shelby) Branstetter of Buck Creek; three grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great-grandchildren; half-sister, Terri Smith; half-brothers, Tom Stevens and Clayton Smith and son-in-law, Donnie Stewart.
She was preceded in death by husband, Morris Branstetter; daughters, Kathy Lynn Stewart, Marilyn Sue Kressel, Rose Marie Kressel; step-son Les Branstetter; 1 grandchild; 1great-grandchildren; half-sister, Connie Steven and half-brother, Paul Smith Jr.
Visitation for Rosemary Branstetter will be from 10:00 a.m. until Noon on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Genda Funeral Home, Frankfort with the funeral service beginning at Noon with Pastor Paul Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of Rosemary may be made to the organization of choice.
