Ruth Alice Ferguson

Ruth Alice Ferguson, 93, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015.

She was born to the late Clinton and Florence Jacobs Curts on July 16, 1922, in Cutler.  As a child, Ruth lived and attended school in Cutler, IN, graduating in 1940. In March of 1944, she married Walter Price Ferguson in Flora, IN. She and Walter lived in various places including Indiana, Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois and Michigan. Ruth was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith.  Family and friends were Ruth’s passion and delight. She and her family grew up spending many summers at her parents’ home in Camden, IN.  Ruth also enjoyed crafts and cooking and was an avid card player.

Ruth is survived by her two children, Dennis (Deborah) Ferguson and Debra (Jim) Matthews; three brothers, Dick (late Mildred) Curts of Flora, Jerry (Doris) Curts of Delphi, IN, and Bill (Helga) Curts of Warsaw, IN; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel, 103 N. Center Street, Flora, IN, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Camden Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northwest Ohio Alzheimer's Association, 2500 N Reynolds Rd, Toledo, OH 43615, or the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
