Ruth Alice Slipher, 87, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.
She was born March 3, 1928, in Perham, Minn., to Henry and Frieda (Seedorf) Diederichs. After meeting on a blind date, Ruth married Robert Nelson Slipher on July 21, 1950; he preceded her in death on June 17, 1989.
Ruth was valedictorian of her graduating class at Perham High School. She was a hospital x-ray and lab technician for 25 years at Clinton County Hospital. Ruth retired from Wesley Manor in the late 1980âs. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. In her younger years, Ruth received several awards at the County Fair for her needle work. She was an avid reader and truly believed in the power of education. Ruth was a true giver whether it be cleaning up her spot on State Road 75 or making Thanksgiving meals for others. Ruth would remind us all to take a positive approach in everything we do.
