Ruth Beatrice Sink, 97, of Frankfort passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Signature Healthcare in Lebanon. She was born October 12, 1919 in Pittsboro, Indiana to Neiel and Fern (Linton) Surber.
Ruth graduated from Lebanon High School worked in food service for the Frankfort Junior High School and Clinton County Hospital and was a farmerâs wife. She was a member of Michigantown Christian Church where she taught Sunday School, member of the former Boylestown Homemakers Club and was a Pride Pusher.
On March 14, 1942, Ruth married Charles Thomas Sink, with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary before his death on April 14, 2007. Ruth is also preceded in death by four brothers, John William Surber, Ernest Surber, Lawrence Surber and Marvin Surber.
Surviving family includes two sons, Dr. Charles (Vonda) Sink of Glendale, AZ and Garry (Janet) Sink of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Angela (Jon) Peck and their children Jack and Mitchell, Bradley Sink and his children Bryce and Declan, Vickie (Gayle) Evans and their children Blaine and Brock, Jennifer Sink, Matthew (Crissy) Sink and their son Carter and David Sink and his children Charli and Gabriel.
The funeral service for Ruth Beatrice Sink will be held at 10:30a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with minister Carl Kercheval of Michigantown Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
