Ruth M Finfrock

Ruth M. Estes Finfrock, 83, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013, at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.

She was born April 2, 1930, in Frankfort, the daughter of Omer I. and Ressie L. Watkins Wilson.  She was formerly married to Walter Estes.  On December 21, 1987, Ruth married Charles Finfrock; he survives.

Ruth attended Frankfort High School.  She worked for 15 years with Unilectric and at Mr. Gattis Pizza.  She was a strong, hard-working woman with a wonderful sense of humor.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, bowling and gardening.    

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Sue) Estes and David (Joyce) Estes, both of Frankfort; a daughter, Chris (Jerry) Lesley of Frankfort; five step-children, Charles (Beverly) Finfrock, Rex Finfrock, Evelyn (Bill) Tarkington, Nancy (Kenneth) Culp, and Jan (Mickey) Whitlock; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.  

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and 1 great-grandchild.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral services beginning at 2 p.m.  Pastor Richard Burdett will be officiating the services.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn cemetery.  Memorials may be made in Ruth’s name to the American Heart Association and/or the American Diabetes Association.  On-line condolences may be directed to gendafuneralhome.com.
