K. Maudena âSallyâ Liptrap, 101, of Frankfort, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Wesley Manor.
She was born August 17, 1915, in Clay City, to the Late Marion LeRoy and Hattie Helton LaSelle. On April 1, 1939, she married Loren Binkley in Clay City; he preceded her in death on December 4, 1986. On May 19, 1989, Sally married Ermal Liptrap in Boswell; he passed away on September 27, 2002.
Sally graduated from Clay City High School and later from Methodist School of Nursing in Indianapolis. Throughout her life, Sally was a registered nurse and homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Anderson, and enjoyed sewing and refinishing antiques.
Surviving Sally are her daughter, Patricia Binkley Streeter; and two grandchildren, Katheryn Streeter and Thomas Streeter.
In addition to her husbands, Sally is preceded in death by her sister, Deloris Goshorn, and two brothers, Edsel LaSelle and Raymond LaSelle.
A memorial service to celebrate Sallyâs life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel in Wesley Manor with Chaplain Barbara Kinsler officiating. Inurnment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorials in Sallyâs name may be made to Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
