Sandra Kay (Locker) Cripe

Sandra Kay Cripe, 78, of Hillisburg, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.  She was born October 17, 1944 in Indianapolis to Clarence L. and Bertha M. (Carter) Lockard.  She married Theodore E. Cripe on October 20, 1962.  He survives.

She was a graduate of Ben Davis High School in 1961.  She helped husband as a bookkeeper of Four-T’s Heating and Cooling.  But she the job she truly loved was being home taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren.  She attended Scotland Church.  She was a member of the Frankfort Eagle’s Lodge.  She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and camping.  Her passion was her family. She loved caring for her family spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with her husband of 60 years, Sandra is survived by her children, Ted (Karen) Cripe, Tom Cripe, Toby Cripe, and TJ (Jennifer) Cripe; two sisters; two brothers; twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings.

Visitation will be held, Monday, July 10, 2023, from 12pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Burial will follow at Whiteman Cemetery.  Messages of condolence may be made at www.dayandgenda.com.
