Sandra L. Ward

Sandra L, Ward, 77, of Lafayette, formerly of Flora, passed away Friday, May 08, 2020 at IU Health Arnett.  She was born September 9, 1942 in Indianapolis to Lloyd and Helen (Woolman) Johnson.  She was a 1960 graduate of Rossville High School.   She married Lowell Ward in Rossville on November 29, 1964.  He survives.  Sandra worked as secretary at The Anderson’s in Delphi for over 25 years.  She enjoyed flower arranging, baking cakes, and spending time with her family.

Along with her husband of 55 years, Sandra is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Brien) Scheffee of Brookston; brother, Harry (Cathy) Johnson of Madison, AL; sister-in-law, Karen Johnson of Cayuga; grandson, Logen Scheffee; three step-granddaughters and six step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Lloyd Johnson.

A private family service will be held Monday, May 11, 2020 at 2pm with live streaming services on her obituary page on www.gendafuneralhome.com.  Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.  Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel is assisting with the arrangements.
