Sandra Sue Berry

Sandra “Sue” Berry, 71, of Lafayette, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2013, at her home.

She was born September 23, 1941, in Mulberry, the daughter of Wilbur and Dorothy (Siefried) Mitchell.  On February 26, 1960, she married Richard L. Berry; he survives.

Sue worked for 25 years at Home Interiors and Gifts in Lafayette and later worked with Dr. Rodibaugh for ten years.  She was a member at First Assembly of God.  Her flower garden gave her peace; her singing was a gift she shared along with her strong Christian faith.

In addition to her husband, Sue is survived by three sons, Gregory (Nikki) Berry, Bradley (Jenny) Berry, and Rodney Berry, all of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Michelle, Jonathan, Grant and Rachel; and three great grandchildren, Elena, Zaria, and Parker.

Visitation for Sue will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013, at First Assembly of God in Lafayette from 10:00 a.m. until the beginning of the funeral service.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Robby Bradford officiating.  Burial will follow in Fair Haven Cemetery in Mulberry.  Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home Mulberry Chapel.  On-line condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
