Sandra "Sandy" K. (Winget) Reddix

Sandra K. “Sandy” Reddix, 74, Mulberry, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  She was born on June 13, 1949, in Frankfort to James “Red” and Viola “Ruth” (Barker) Winget.  She married Paul Reddix on June 28, 1975.  He survives.

Sandy was a 1967 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School.  She worked for Frito Lay for 30 years until her retirement in 2010.  She was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church where she helped coordinate the Operation Christmas Child for years.  She was a kind and loving woman that enjoyed traveling out west to see the mountains.  She loved her family dearly, and enjoyed spending time and making memories with them.

Along with her husband of 48 years, Sandy is survived by her father, Red Winget; daughters, Andrea Reddix and Lindsay (Clay Miller) Reddix; siblings, Linda Bell, Mary Richards, and John Winget; and a granddaughter, Nicole (Bryce) Padgett.

She was preceded in death by her mother and siblings, Carolyn Parsons and Jim Winget.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 4, 2023, from 4-7pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Mulberry Chapel.  Funeral Services will be Tuesday, September 5 at 10am at the funeral home.  Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate.  Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorial contributions in Sandy’s honor may be made to Operation Christmas Child c/o Mulberry United Methodist Church.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
