Sarah Elizabeth Coffman

Sarah Elizabeth Coffman, 71, of Mulberry, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at her home.

Born Nov. 30, 1939, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Jennings C. and Neta Williams Jacoby. She graduated valedictorian of Mulberry High School in 1957 and graduated from Indiana Business College in 1958 and was a lifelong Mulberry resident.

She married Max Coffman on Sept. 13, 1959, and he survives.

Mrs. Coffman was a homemaker, a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church and a more than 50-year member of Eastern Star at Jefferson.  She served more than 3000 hours as a Home Hospital volunteer.  Sarah's vision of the future made the family business flourish, making lives easier for her husband and kids and made a loving Grandma.


Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Janet E. Neidigh (husband: Denis) of Mulberry; one son, Mark C. Coffman (wife: Jennifer), three grandchildren, Max C. Coffman, Eric Neidigh and Michelle Neidigh,

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Jacoby.

Calling will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, with service at 7 p.m. Pastors Nancy Richmond and Mike Crawford officiating, O.E.S. to start the service. Interment Fair Haven Cemetery.
