Sherman L. Anderson

Sherman L. Anderson, 74, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Clinton House Rehab and Healthcare.

He was born September 12, 1942, in Kokomo, to Sherman I. and Mary F. Baker Anderson.  On May 14, 1965, he married Janet S. King at Hopewell Methodist Church; she passed away on November 16, 2012.

Sherman was a member of the first graduating class of Clinton Central High School.  He retired from Lake Erie Products and enjoyed listening to music especially country music, bowling, and travelling especially his visits to Branson and Hawaii.  Sherman was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and the Frankfort V.F.W.

Surviving Sherman are his sons, Sherman L. Anderson II and Travis L. Anderson, both of Frankfort; sisters-in-law, Carol King, of Frankfort, and Linda Stamper, of Lafayette; and three granddaughters, Jordan, Hanna, and Lillie.

In addition to his wife, Sherman is preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Brian Eugene.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Green Lawn Mausoleum in Frankfort, with Pastor Gregg Davis officiating.  Entombment will follow in the mausoleum with military honors.  Memorials in Sherman’s name may be made to First Church of Nazarene.  Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
