Susan A. McCarty

Susan A. McCarty, 64, of Michigantown, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born in Frankfort on March 11, 1950, she was the daughter of Leroy Keith and Phyllis A. Blackburn Milburn.  On December 2, 1972, she married Donald K. McCarty; he survives.  

Susan graduated from Clinton Central in 1968.  She is a life-long resident of Clinton County.  She was employed at Federal Mogul as a press operator and had worked at Frito-Lay.  Susan was attended the Michigantown United Methodist Church.  

In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by two children, David (Angie) McCarty of Forest and Donna Keck ( fiancé, Matt Guffy) of Noblesville; four siblings, Nancy (Tim) Jones, Carol (Lewis) Gabehart, Eugene (Nancy) Milburn, and William Milburn; three grandchildren, Cole, Chase, and Cy Schimmel; and several nieces and nephews.  

Susan was preceded in death by her parents.  

Visitation for Susan will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 12:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Whiteman Cemetery in Michigantown.  Memorials in Susan’s name may be made to American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
