Teresa Ann Carney

Teresa Ann Carney, 61, of Floyd’s Knobs, IN, formerly of Frankfort, passed away early Monday morning, May 9, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.

Teresa was born on February 26, 1955 in Frankfort, IN to Harold E. Miller and Marie Elizabeth Walker Miller. She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1973. She met and married her husband, Jerry D. Carney in 1993, he survives. She retired as the cook for Clinton County Sheriff’s Department after 25 years of service. Teresa also cooked at the American Legion Post #42 in Floyd’s Knobs.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Carney of Floyd’s Knobs, two sons, James J. Snodgrass (Dana Cooper) and Adam Snodgrass, both of Frankfort; two daughters, Melissa Ann Lucas (James) of Hobart and Sarah Elaine Snodgrass of Indianapolis; one sister, Elaine Kesterson (Jim) of Lafayette; and eighteen grandchildren.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim and Ralph Miller.

A funeral service for Teresa A. Carney will be held at Genda Funeral Home, 608 N. Main St., Frankfort, IN 46041, on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home.
