Theressa Isaacs, 96, of Rossville died on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Milnerâs Community Healthcare in Rossville.
She was born December 17, 1915, in Camden, the daughter of Truman Charles and Jesse Leone Kirkpatrick Beougher. Theressa grew up in Flora then moved to Logansport for the majority of her life. She returned to Flora before moving to Rossville. She graduated from Camden High School in 1933.
On August 15, 1936, she married Dale Lee Isaacs, Sr.; he preceded her in death on June 2, 1980.
Theressa worked at Long Cliff Hospital during World War II; she retired from Elco Industries in the 1980âs. She also travelled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, as well as trips to China and Australia. Church was very important to Theressa. She was an active member of 9th Street Christian Church for over 50 years and more recently active in Flora Christian Church.
Surviving Theressa are two children, Dale Lee (wife, Linda) Issacs, Jr. of San Angelo, TX, and Theressa E. (husband, Delton) Propes of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Doris Sink of Marion, and Joan (husband, Pete) Jackson of Flora; one brother, Donald Beougher of Logansport; 6 grandchildren, Kenlyn Pinney, Jonathan Isaacs, Brett Propes, Steven Isaacs, Heather Jones, and Amber Coddington; and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George Beougher and Willis Beougher.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home-Reinke Chapel in Flora. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Woody Slade officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.
