Thomas Glen Perry, Sr., age 82, of Flora, passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday morning, June 11, 2016 at his home.
Tom was born in Sumner County, TN on November 28, 1933 to Arthur Neal Perry and Rosetta Perry. He moved to Indiana when he was 13 years old. He worked as a farmer for Glen Richey, dug graves with his dad and put up fence for Ralph Hendershot. On March 12, 1971, Tom married his wife, Sue Ellen (Cummings) Perry of Flora. She survives. Tom retired from Carroll County Highway Department after 15 years of service. He never knew a stranger. He always had time for a friend in need. He enjoyed gardening and loved being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of over 45 years, Sue Ellen Perry; his children, Vallie Jane (Lonnie, Jr.) Stiles of Flora, Arthur Neal (Amy) Perry of Camden, Thomas Glen (Daydra Price) Perry Jr. of Lafayette, Joe Allen Perry of Flora, Rob Perry of Flora, Jeff Perry of Flora, Faith Elizabeth (Acea Roe) of Frankfort and William Levi Perry of Lafayette; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Tom Perry will be held at Genda Funeral Home, Reinke Chapel in Flora on Friday June 17, 2016 at 12:00 noon. Burial will immediately follow at Ball Hill Cemetery in Cutler. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home from 11:00 until the time of service at noon.
