Timothy A. Snell, Sr., 65, of 301 S. Clark St., Colfax, IN died at his home on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. He was born on July 19, 1945 in Omro, Wisconsin to parents Ralph Snell & Kathryn (Warren) Vandermark.
Tim graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in Indianapolis. He was a Navy Veteran having served in the Vietnam War from 1964 - 1968. He owned several businesses and etired in 1989 as an Indianapolis Police Officer after 20 years. He also served as the Colfax Town Marshall. He was a member of the Colfax American Legion, F.O.P. and Bass Masters.
He married Betty Phillips on March 19, 1966, and she survives.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, one son, Timothy A. Snell, Jr. (companion Amy) of Colfax, one daughter, Wendy Kay (husband David) Graves of Coatesville, IN, one sister, Rosalie Howerton, four brothers, Mike Horn, Brian Vandermark, Mark Snell & David Snell, Seven Grandchildren, Cesily, Timothy, III, Johnathon, Austin, Taylor, Elizabeth & Joseph.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life starting at 5:00 PM, Sat., 1-15-2011, will be held at the Colfax American Legion.
