Timothy E. James

Timothy E. James, 52, of Huber Heights, OH, formerly of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, OH, on April 27, 2018.

He was born June 9, 1965, in Lafayette, to Albert Leo (Ruth) James of Gardner, KS and Ginny Niece (companion, Duane Lee) of Bradenton, FL.  Tim had attended Carroll County High School. He had formerly been married to Tina Dicks Ragan.

In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his children, Joshua Ryan James of Lenexa, KS, and Jessica Renee (Rustin) James-Plunkett of Brookston; brothers, Kevin (Karla) James of Huber Heights, OH, Kreg (Kelli) James of Shadeland, and Aaron (Tara) James of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Elizabeth (Steve) Miner of Olathe, KS,  Joni (John) Maahs of Warsaw, and Lisa (Brett) Bellinger of Lafayette; grandchildren, Aiden Waye, and Kaylen, PaizLee and Bentley Plunkett; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Tim is preceded in death by his grandparents and a granddaughter, Kayden James.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Flora United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Baker officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the basement of the Flora United Methodist Church following the service until 3:00 p.m.  Memorials in Tim’s name may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.
