Trela âMarleneâ Krieg, 78, of Frankfort, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014, at her home.
She was born June 15, 1936, in Forest, the daughter of Alva and Geneva Shoemaker Rogers. She was previously married to Garrett Loucks. Marlene later married Robert Krieg; he preceded her in death.
Marlene graduated from Forest High School in 1954. She worked at The Farmers Bank and P R Mallory. Marlene had also been a childcare provider for many years. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Frankfort. She was very helpful to others, especially assisting with the elderly. Marlene loved attending church, music and reading. Above all else, spending time with her family was her greatest joy.
She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Loucks of Frankfort, Rhonda Bromme of Fredericksburg, VA, Deanna Loucks of Frankfort, and Michelle Collins of Oxford, AL; two sisters, Donna Johnston and Joyce McCarty; two brothers, Charles Rogers and Ronnie Rogers; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marlene was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Rogers; one infant sister, Elizabeth Rogers; and one infant grandson, Ryan Eric Loucks.
Visitation for Marlene will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at First Wesleyan Church in Frankfort with Pastor Jeff Lemire and Rev. Ernest Batman officiating. Burial will follow in Veneman Cemetery in Forest. Memorials may be made in Marleneâs name to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research.
