Troy Glen Roddel, 49, of Flora, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014, at his home.
He was born February 25, 1965, in Lafayette, the son of Glen Warren Roddel and Shirley Ann (Pilo) Finney Ortegon.
Troy was employed at Venetian Blinds in Lafayette. He played guitar and had a love of music. He enjoyed fishing and watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburg Steelers. He was known to be one that was always willing to help others.
In addition to his parents, Troy is survived by one daughter, Veronica Lynn Roddel; one brother, Tony Roddel; two sisters, Tina Bogard and Kristy Martin; two grandsons, Caydyn Roddel and Cameran Cruea; and several nieces and nephews.
Troy was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Warren Roddel, Jr., and Jason Lee Roddel.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at Maple Lawn Cemetery beginning at 1:30 p.m. until the start of the graveside service at 2 p.m. Memorials in Troyâs name may be made to the Flora Food Pantry.
