V. Ruth Sexton

V. Ruth Siebert Sexton was born in Colfax, Indiana to Dorothy and William Siebert on September 14, 1928.  She passed away at Homewood Healthcare in Lebanon, Indiana on Friday, September 30 at 6:25pm.
  
She married Lloyd H. Sexton on March 25, 1950 in Francesville, IN and he preceded her in death in June 27, 2007.  

Surviving are one daughter, Janet Cannon of Fulton, Texas, six sons, James (Anne) of Crawfordsville, IN, Thomas (Susan) of Vonore, Tennessee, Gregory (Luz) of Long Beach, California, Gary of Frankfort, Jeffrey (Debra) of Louisville, Kentucky, Michael (Leslie) of Bloomington, IN, and Barbara Sexton of Frankfort;  15 grandchildren, Rick, Christine (Gary), Kimberly (Tom), Randall (Jenny), Tamitha, Tyler, Audra (Jeremy), Carolina, Hillary, Caitlyn (Joe), Heather, Michael (Kayla), Melissa, Jacob, Kaitlyn: 9 great grandchildren, Ashton, Courtney, Erin, Alexander, Kathryn, Tanner, Evan,  Madison and Henry. Also surviving is one sister Betty Pipes of Frankfort, and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded her in death, Doris Hendryx and Grace Virtue.

She graduated from Colfax High School in 1946.   She had previously worked as a waitress at Madge's, Burger Chef, and Pizza Plus. She was a Charter member of the Delta Sigma Kappa sorority and enjoyed league bowling with friends.

Visitation will be from 5-8pm Tuesday at Genda Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00pm at Genda Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Ditson-McCall. Burial will take place at  Bunnell Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Frankfort,IN.
