Vickie Ritter

Vickie Ritter, 60, Frankfort, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at her home after a hard-fought battle with cancer.  She was born April 20, 1963, in Tompkinsville, KY to Hack and Eva Mae (Coulter) Ritter.

Vickie graduated from Tompkinsville High School and had several jobs over her life, including a meatcutter at Schulz IGA and most recently working at CVS until her retirement in 2020.  She loved animals and caring for her fur babies, collecting Beanie Babies, and celebrating Christmas.  But her true passion was photography.  Her keen eye for detail and patience to catch just the right moment and lighting were just a couple reasons why her pictures were loved and admired.  Her photographs are shared by many and hang in numerous homes.

Vickie is survived by many friends and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held, Tuesday July 11, 2023, from 4pm until the time of the service at 7pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
