Violet M. Bushman, 83, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013, at Clinton House Health and Rehab Center.
She was born January 31, 1930, in Lake Village, the daughter of Andrew Franklin and Edna Mae Daniels Bushman. On October 9, 1948, she married Richard Bushman; he preceded her in death on April 9, 2007.
Violet moved to Frankfort in 1947 from Lake Village. She was a homemaker.
Surviving Violet are three daughters, Judith Ann Rister of Nashville, TN, Virginia Bushman of Frankfort, and Betty (Curtis) Weaver of Frankfort; one brother, Frank (Jean) Bushman Jr. of Lake Village; two sisters, Hazel Murfitt of Kentland, IN, and Joyce Roller of California; three sisters-in-law, Maryann Bushman of Lake Village, IN, Helon Bushman of Frankfort, and Wilma Bushman of Lebanon, IN; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Trey) Howland of Panama City, FL, Janet Baber of Nashville, TN, Matthew Woods of San Diego, CA, and Kylie (Branden) Harshbarger of Frankfort; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Violet is preceded in death by one son, Richard Bushman; two brothers, Lloyd Bushman and Edward Bushman; and one sister, Ruby Lucietta.
Visitation for Violet will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery.
