Virginia Jeanne Grove

Virginia Jeanne Grove, 92, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2015, at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.

She was born September 23, 1922, in Frankfort, to Charles V. and Maude (Smith) McKinney.  On June 4, 1945, she married Richard R. Grove, and he passed on November 7, 2002.

Jeanne graduated from Scircleville High School and later graduated from Central Normal Business College in Danville, Indiana.  She was a member of the Scircleville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.  Jeanne was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Clinton County Republican Women, and the Bridge Club.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Virginia “Jenny” (Chris) Madison; and grandchildren, Michael (Jill) Madison and Erin Madison.

In addition to her husband, Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents and son, Charles Richard Grove.

Visitation for Jeanne will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Justin Fisher, Pastor Mike Flowers, and Chaplain Barbara Kinsler officiating.  Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Jeanne name may be made to the Kokomo Symphonic Society or the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra.   Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
