Virginia Joyce Hutchison

Virginia Joyce Hutchison, 87, of Frankfort, died at 7:04 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.

She was born Jan. 2, 1924 in Frankfort to Chester F. and Katie E. (Thornton) Harrington and married Oct. 14, 1947 to Paul E. Hutchison, who preceded her in death

Mrs. Hutchison worked as a beautician and had her own home business, “Virginia’s Beauty Shop.” She also worked for and retired from P.R. Mallory as an inspector. She was a member of Boyleston Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 6. A lifelong Frankfort resident, Ms. Hutchison attended Frankfort Schools and graduated from Huffer Beauty College in March of 1958. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and had a passion for knitting and making quilts.

Mrs. Hutchison is survived by her son: Michael E. Hutchison; two daughters: Sara L. (husband Randy) Perkins and Patti Sparks; four grandchildren: Elizabeth (husband Andy) Parkison, Chad Perkins, Dana Bartley and Rae Anne (husband Jacob) Eberle; and great-grandchildren Patrick, Kalyn, Kendra, Haley and Morgan Perkins; Sara Parkinson; Abi, Patrick and Claire Bartley; and Damian Eberle.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Marion Harrington, sister Frances Henderson and grandson Patrick Hutchison.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 29, 2011 at 10:30AM at Genda Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery. Bruce White will officiate.
