Virginia Pearl âJennyâ Wilson, 84, of Flora, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015, at her home.
She was born May 9, 1931, in Mudlick, Kentucky, to John Farris and Laura Weakman Turner. Her husband, George âBuddâ Wilson, preceded her in death on October 30, 1980.
Jenny worked at Todd Seed Corn and later as a bookkeeper for the IGA in Burlington. She was a member of Burlington Church of Christ where she was a member of the choir and enjoyed helping with VBS and Church Camp. She also enjoyed reading, home decorating, flowers, gardening, and spending time with her great grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Steve Wilson, Regina (Lee) Sorrells, and Georgia (Mike) Dyer; four grandchildren, Renee (Jacob) Randolph, Heidi (Michael) Ballard, Matt Rubow, and Todd Wilson; two step grandchildren, Kristi (Matt) Reynolds and Ryan (Krista) Dyer; 11 great grandchildren; Samantha, Baylee, JR, Christian, Layton, Mikey, Boedy, Kory, Haylee, Evan, and Ellie; two great, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Jenny is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Ruby Meyers and Mary Helen Talbert.
Visitation for Jenny will be held at Burlington Church of Christ on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Dave Osborne will officiate. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery. Memorials in Jennyâs name may be made to American Diabetes Association or Burlington Church of Christ Daycare.
