Vivian Bernadine Ward, 95, of Westfield, formerly of Frankfort, passed at her residence Tuesday, January 28, 2020. She was born April 14, 1924 to John and Sophie Blanche (Taylor) Brandt. Bernadine lived the majority of her life in Frankfort, where she was a graduate of Frankfort High School. She married George A. Ward of Kirklin. He preceded her in death.
Bernadine worked for Mallory Controls, National Seal, and TPA Park Petting Zoo and Concession Stand. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. She was an animal lover, loved a party, enjoyed playing cards and being by the lake or ocean.
She is survived by her son, Gary D. (Janet) Ward of rural Sheridan; granddaughters, Erika (Ubaldo) Teles and Carrie Mitchell, both of Westfield; six great grandchildren, Arianna Teles, Christian Teles, Isabel Teles, Alejandra Teles, Jada Mitchell and Mia Mitchell; along with several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son Roger A. Ward; sister, Bernice Bitner; and brothers, Raymond Doyle and Claude Brandt.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort is assisting with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.
