Vivian Irene Hodgen, 75, of Frankfort, passed away at 12:14 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette.
She was born November 15, 1938, in Clinton County, the daughter of Walter and Sophia Miller Carr. On September 15, 1956, she married Benson Hodgen; he preceded her in death February 7, 2011.
Vivian was a life-long resident of Frankfort and had attended Frankfort High School. She was a homemaker and mother of five. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by four children, Paul T. Hodgen, Brian Hodgen, Cheryl (Bill) Lee, and Gail Hodgen, all of Frankfort; one brother, Walter Calvin (Peggy) Carr; one sister, Linda (Mike) Hine; one half-sister, Janet Fairfield; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was preceded in death by one daughter, Jacquelyn Baker; two half-brothers, Dave Carr and Tom Brant; and daughter-in-law, Jean Ann Hodgen.
Visitation for Vivian will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort from 10 a.m. until the beginning of the funeral service at 12 p.m. Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate.
