Wanda Sue Birge

Wanda Sue Birge, 62, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at her home.

She was born on May 14, 1953, at Camp Atterbury, to Lloyd L. and Annabelle Primmer Wilson; her mother survives in Frankfort.  On September 10, 1972, she married Darrell L. Birge; he survives.

Wanda graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in 1971.  Throughout her life, she worked for the Community Schools of Frankfort at Woodside School and later Suncrest Elementary School, Clinton Abstract, and Regions Bank in commercial loans before retiring on December, 2014.  Wanda was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Wanda is survived by two sons, William L. “Billy” (Donna) Birge of Frankfort, and Josh N. Birge (companion, Terri) of Colfax; daughter, Wendi L. Birge Cooper (companion, Troy) of Frankfort; sister, Cheryl L. (Kevin) Carpenter of Frankfort; brother, Tim (Martha) Wilson of Kirklin; and 15 grandchildren.

Visitation for Wanda will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Frankfort, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2016, at the church with Pastor Ed Pearson officiating.  Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.  Memorials in Wanda’s name may be made to Clinton County Cancer or Frankfort Senior High School Athletics.  Online condolences may be directed to www.gendafuneralhome.com.
