Waneta Wells, 87, of Delphi, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at home.
She was born October 13, 1927, in Burlington Township, to Larry E. and Bertha Trobaugh Bell. Waneta married Thomas Gill on April 19, 1945, in Boaz, AL; he passed away June 16, 1959. She later married Eugene Wells on July 4, 1961; he preceded her in death on September 28, 1997.
Waneta graduated from Burlington High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary in Monticello.
Surviving are her children, Tony (Linda) Gill of Langley, WA, Frank (Marty) Gill of Delphi, Jeffrey Wells of Gainesville, FL, Jerry (Kim) Wells of Lafayette, and Jamie (Dawn) Wells of Lafayette, Mickie Veach of Deer Creek, Christie Shoemaker of Delphi, and Shelia Best of Delphi; stepsons, Donald (Julie) Wells of Orange, TX, Ricky L. (Karen) Wells of Bringhurst, and Kim (Julie) Wells of Reynolds; sister, Dixie Perigo of Boaz, AL; 14 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. A special thank you goes out to Becky Wells.
In addition to her husbands, Waneta is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, sons-in-law, Bill and Gene; grandson, Luke Wells; and great grandson, Christopher Brooks.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home Reinke Chapel in Flora, from 4:00 â 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Brent Oliver officiating.
