William âBillâ D. Chandler, 69, of Hanover Park, Ill., formerly of Frankfort, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015, at his home.
He was born February 12, 1946, in Clinton County, Ind., to the late William and Mary Leslie Chandler. Bill was formerly married to Karen âConnieâ Conway Chandler. He later married Grace Kramarczyk; she survives.
Bill graduated from Frankfort Senior High School. He served in the United States Navy and fought during the Vietnam War. Bill worked as a plumber and was a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by one son, Scott Chandler; granddaughter, Madison âMaddieâ Chandler; stepdaughters, Ania Kramarczyk, Gosia Kramarczyk, Agnieszka Kramarczyk; his siblings, Naomi Large, Charles (Wilma) Chandler, Carol (Bob) Bower, Esther Roberts, Sharon (Ed) Spray, Kathy (Jerry) Wise, and Susan Northern; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Gene Spaulding; and brothers-in-laws, Paul Large, Ray Roberts, and Jack Northern.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 11:00 a.m. to the start of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Jim and Joann Spaulding officiating.
