William E. Schultz, 84, a lifelong resident of Frankfort, died on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 2:30 a.m. at Wesley Manor.
He was born April 6, 1928, in Frankfort, the son of Ernest and Meta Prast Schultz.
On September 6, 1947, he married the former Nancy C. Switzer; she died October 25, 2008.
He was a 1946 graduate of Frankfort High School. William worked as a car man for Nickel Plate Railroad and later N & W Railroad; he retired in 1989 with 42 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Eagles.
Surviving are four sons, David Schultz, Ronald and Sally Schultz, Edward and Linda Schultz, and Norman and Kathy Schultz; one sister, Thelma and Joe McDonald; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Genevieve Haynes and Emmaline Latchshaw; and two grandsons.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort.
Funeral service for William will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Southerland officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
Memorials in Williamâs name may be made to Boys Town of Missouri or St. Jude Childrenâs Hospital.
