William Eugene Harrison, 89, of Sedalia, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at his home.
He was born December 29, 1928, in Middlefork, to Leonard E. and Myrtle Irene (Williams) Harrison. Bill was formerly married to Mary Louise Smart.
Bill attended Forest High School. He worked for WLC Company, in Sedalia, for over 65 years as a truck driver, retiring in 2013. He was a member of the Beard Masonic Lodge for many years, lifetime member of the Moose Lodge in Lafayette, honorary member of the Navy Club and lifetime honorary member of the V.F.W. in Lafayette. Bill enjoyed family dinners at Darleneâs house, fishing trips to Canada, visiting casinos and Saturday morning breakfasts at Hoops.
Surviving Bill are his children, Philip (Teri) Harrison, of Sedalia, Darlene McCollum, of Frankfort, and William Henry Harrison, of Lafayette; ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, son, Ricky Lee Harrison; daughters, Marianne Martin and Ruth Proctor; longtime companion, Lorene Sitterding; son-in-law, Rick McCollum; one granddaughter, four sisters, and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel from 1-5 p.m. to the start of the Masonic rites at 5 p.m. Funeral services for Bill will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the funeral home.
